I'm gonna add this to my menu!!!

Being pregnant is one of the best feeling in the world for a woman. Having the ability to create and produce life is definitely an experience like no other. One of the many things I enjoy about being pregnant is fulfilling my many cravings and not feeling too bad about it! I had one of my greatest cravings today and I just couldn't fight it. I made myself a big pan of Homemade Banana pudding. And I'm not talking about the kind where you use the instant pudding and it's ready in 5 minutes. Yes, I'm talking about the good ole fashioned kind where you have to take the time to prepare the custard on the stove and make sure it comes out to the right consistency. I love that kind. I haven't tore into it yet, but I'm sure getting ready to because my mouth is watering right now just talking about it. I just wanted to take a minute to share this wonderful creation with ya'll and say that I will definitely be adding this to my menu....Until my next craving...Toodles!

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN....THANKSGIVING!

Hello everyone...yes,it is that time of year again....Thanksgiving...the time of year when we spend a day and sometimes a week eating turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, and whatever else we or someone else cooks up. I especially love the desserts. You know what I love about this day???...I get to cook as much as I want and I enjoy it. I not only enjoy cooking for my family but I also enjoy cooking for those who don't feel like cooking, or who just don't have that culinary talent in the kitchen. I have decided that this year, I am going to put my God given talent to use and cater to the needs of others this holiday season. I have below, my thanksgiving menu for those of you who would rather have someone else cook for you and if you love a good down home, soul touching, taste satisfying meal, you'll really enjoy my food. I have included prices for individual items as well as a whole thanksgiving meal that will feed up to 12 people. Finally!!!!

I finally have the chance to put a pic of my seafood fettucini on here! So many of my friends have asked me why I don't have one on here. Well...here it is, along with a pic of my beautiful italian salad! ENJOY!!!!!

Well I hadn't been on here since last week but here's what's been going on.....Last Thursday, I delivered the dinners to my mom's job and they were a big hit. My mom's co-workers said I need to do this at least once a week. I even had one of my old school mates order a plate from me on facebook and she loved it...Thanks Latoshia! Well that's what I've been shooting for but I just hadn't took a chance until then. I posted pics of my lunch plates to my facebook page and the next thing I knew, I had quite a few people requesting my menu. I sent them the menus and I have yet to receive any orders but I'm sure I'll get some in time...just have to stay faithful. By the way, what happened to the orders from your job, Brandee. I'm going to need you to promote me more...LOL. Until next time...LADY MARIE!!!

I decided to step out on faith and now I'm excited!

On Monday, I decided that I was going to take a step out on faith and try selling some lunch plates this week in order to promote my business and make a little extra money. I've been out of work for 6 months now and my constant job search has now become a constant frustration. I know God is telling me that I need to take what he has blessed me with and do something more with it...and that's exactly what I'm doing this week. My mom put the word out at her job that I would be selling lunch plates this week and what do you know...I got 6 orders from her job. That's definitely something to get excited about and I thank God for that blessing. I'm also going to be selling individual cake slices. My mom's co-workers love my cakes and I know this because I've brought them cake before and every time, I sell out! Who doesn't love a good cake. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but I think I do pretty darn good in the pastry area! I can also do some wonderful down-home cooking and the only way to find out is to check me out and put in an order. Hey, what's the worse that can happen...either you'll like it or you won't!

I LOVE A GOOD BURGER!!!

Last night was burger night in my household. I must say, I think I really outdid myself. The burgers were sooooo good. I love a homemade burger...there's nothing like it. I wanted to do homemade fries with it but I didn't have any potatoes handy and I was too lazy to go to the store to get some. My husband said his burger was so good that he dreamed about it and he wants another one tonight. I guess it's burger night again...I'm not complaining!!!! It was just t hat good!

One of my BFF's had a surprise birthday party courtesy of her husband and I was asked to bake the cake. I was very much obliged and I believe this was one of my best creations yet, in appearance and taste. My husband told me this was one of the best cakes he had ever tasted. He had two very large pieces at the party so I knew he wasn't lying. I put alot of TLC into this cake so I was hoping it came out looking and tasting good! And it did!!! It was so moist and the buttercream icing was just the right amount of sweet!!! DELISH!!!!

Over the course of the last several weeks, I have had the opportunity to bake many cakes for people and I have realized that my love for being in the kitchen is stronger than I thought. Whether it's cooking for my family, baking a cake for a customer, or catering a party, I am so happy and content when in the kitchen. It brings me such joy and pleasure to be able to prepare home cooked meals for people and it makes me even more happy to see them eat and enjoy it. I have been blessed ten times over with this gift. Each time I get in the kitchen, I learn something new and I perfect my craft. If it weren't for my wonderful hubbie puching me to do this, I may not have realized my true love for cooking and baking. Thanks babe!!!

My own desserts are gonna ruin me......AHHHHHHHHH. I made this fabulous "Better-Than-Sex-Cake" and OMG, it was delish!!! I couldn't stop eating it. My co-workers were into it also. A few of them even took some home for their families to taste. I will definitely be adding this one to my menu. And oh yeah people, please be patient with me as I am still working on my menu....But I promise it will be up real soon.
